Entrepreneurship:
Garanti BBVA contributes to women's empowerment and gender equality issues, which are the basic building blocks of a strong economy and societal development, through its holistic Women Entrepreneurship program. In this four-thronged program which lends support to women entrepreneur customers in the SME segment, we focus on the issues of financing, education, encouragement and opening up to new markets.
In 2006, in collaboration with Turkish Women Entrepreneurs Association (KAGİDER), we launched Turkey’s Women Entrepreneurs Competition, an initiative that showcases the inspiring stories of women entrepreneurs, which contributes to the increase of visibility and presence of women entrepreneurs in our country.
In cooperation with Boğaziçi University Lifelong Learning Center (BÜYEM), we organize an education program across Turkey named the Women Entrepreneurs Executive School. Through this program, women entrepreneurs acquire the knowledge they need in order to improve their businesses and make them sustainable.
In collaboration with KAGİDER, we organize Women Entrepreneurs Meetings where we bring together women entrepreneurs with the buyers of leading institutions and organizations and aim to capture a wide range of cooperation opportunities and gain new customers.
In addition, we have launched the Garanti BBVA Partners Acceleration Program in 2015 to support the different needs of early stage and growing enterprises of varying scales and sectors.
Additionally; we manage a social entrepreneurship program called BBVA Momentum, that is held simultaneously in Turkey, Mexico, Colombia and the United States, for supporting social entrepreneurs who want to create high social impact with sustainable business models.
